KTM Duke 390 has already been confirmed for launch and the the Japanese two-wheeler maker, Honda, with its CBR400R, is slated to hit our shores the current year. These two bikes are massive in this segment in terms of technical and styling aspects. Let us take a closer look and find out which bike is more capable to win the race. KTM Duke 390 sports a four-stroke, single-cylinder, 372.2 engine. It dishes out the maximum power out put of 44 PS at 9500 rpm while the peak torque production is 35 Nm @ 7250 rpm. This engine is mated to a 6 speed manual transmission with one gear down and rest gears up shift pattern. Honda CBR400R uses a parallel twin, 4 stroke engine with 399 cc displacement. The liquid-cooled and four-valve engine scoops out the maximum power out put of 46 PS at 9500 rpm and the utmost torque out put of 37 Nm at 7500 rpm. This engine is mated with a six speed manual gearbox with the same gear-shift pattern as KTM has.

KTM Duke 390 is equipped with WP suspension up side down whereas it has WP suspension mono shock for a luxurious ride. The top speed of this bike is 170 kmph and it clears the speed of 0-100 in just 7 seconds. The braking system of this two-wheeler has been made powerful. It has 300 mm disc and 230mm disc brakes at the front and at the rear respectively for a safe journey. The overall mileage of KTM Duke 390 is 22-25 km/l whereas the fuel-consumption of Honda CBR400R is 20-22 kmpl on an average.

Honda CBR400R is powered by with 41mm telescopic forks and gas charged mono shock absorbers at the back for a ride with a lot of comfort. The top speed of this bike is 180 kmph and it reachess up to 0-100 in a very quick time. It features at the front 320mm and 240mm disc brakes at the rear to make every ride of yours a safe ride.
